Fascinating backstory, Karen. FWIW, I think you made the right choice. Even now, in the tell-all, find-all scandalous stories era, it would have served no one, particularly Happy. Well done.

That’s quite a story, and understandably one which you’d want to respectfully keep quiet. I remember the sensation surrounding Rockefeller’s passing without the additional spicy details. You definitely made the right decision especially considering the times.

Wow. I was on a plane with several prominent Capitol Hill figures returning from an event when the news of Rockefeller’s death came out. The one sitting next to me was visibly upset at Rockefeller’s death and/or the circumstances. Of course, his death was sad in any case…

Wow what an interesting story, but even more, what I am impressed with is your care and understanding for everyone involved. Lives literally could have been ruined by this if you were someone different, so thanks for your discretion and compassion. I wish more reporters and people in the media were that thoughtful and considerate. Very well written. Almost reminds me of one of my favorite movies Dave.
